The array of fabric types for underwear can be pretty daunting and overwhelming. There are so many to choose from! Where do you even begin? How do you make the right choice? Different fabrics are best for different occasions. Like, you wouldn't wear a cotton t-shirt while working out, would you? Unless you like the feeling of wet, sticky and heavy fabric draped across your body. Not all materials are built the same. THE FEEL
Polyester and polyamide are both very smooth fabrics and feels cooling. Both are super silky, but polyamide feels gentler and softer against your skin.
EXTREMELY DURABLE & LIGHTWEIGHT
Both polyester and polyamide are incredibly durable and lightweight fabrics. The fibres are known for their resilience and tensile strength. However, polyamide is more durable than polyester and has higher elasticity.
SWEAT WICKING & QUICK DRY
Polyester is one of the most water-resistant fabrics available and is also quick-dry, making it great for sportswear and sports underwear. Polyamide does absorb moisture; however, it dries faster than other fabrics. So whether you’re out and about, working out or just hanging out, polyester is excellent for everyday activities and your gym day. Polyamide makes very comfortable daily underwear.
COLOUR FAST & WRINKLE RESISTANT
Both polyester and polyamide have high heat resistant properties, which allows the fabric fibres to hold colours and dyes very effectively. Not only does it keep colour well, but it also has excellent anti-fade qualities. Polyester and polyamide fibres are also designed to resist shrinkage and will almost always hold their shape no matter how many times you wash it or stretch it.
